May 10, Intel spokesman confirmed last Friday, said Intel will soon provide a light, thin new low-power processor.

The new processors apply the same light as the Internet and configuration of the larger screen and more powerful features of the notebook computer. These processors will be Intel Core Duo i3 and i5′s brand. The name of this notebook is ultra-thin notebook computers, selling prices in between 400-800 U.S. dollars, to provide sufficient performance to run standard applications and high-definition multimedia.

Last Thursday revealed a network broadcast the Intel roadmap shows the performance of this processor voltage slightly lower than the standard price of 133 dollars and 294 U.S. dollars in Core i3 and i5 Core notebook processor. However, this processor for the Internet faster than the Intel Atom processor this fast.

The road map also shows that the chip will be launched this quarter. Intel spokesman declined to release the date of this chip, performance and pricing details of the comment. However, the ultra-thin notebook PC processor prices generally cheaper than mainstream notebook computer chips.

Intel vice president and manager of PC customers to achieve operational and Stephen Smith said in the webcast session, this new processor will be used in notebook computers later this year.

Smith said that the chip will use the latest 32-nanometer production process. Launched last year with Intel Core and Pentium brand, the first ultra-thin notebook computer chips, these new processors will provide greater performance and more energy efficient. Intel Core Duo i3 and i5 processors in one chip package the CPU and graphics processor integrated together to improve performance while also reducing power consumption. The chip can simultaneously run on each core two threads, to improve application performance.

Ultra-thin notebooks such products are launched in January last year, AMD Athlon Neo processor after it first appears. Intel followed up, in a few months launched a new ultra-thin notebook computer chips. This ultra-thin notebook computers is expected to fill the Internet and mainstream notebook PCs directly to the performance and power gap. However, the ultra-thin notebook computer applications were lower.

However, according to market research firm iSuppli said in a statement last Thursday, ultra-thin notebook PC shipments will grow this year. iSuppli expects this year’s ultra-thin notebook PC shipments will reach 14.5 million units, more than 750 million units last year, up 93%. iSuppli forecasts full year notebook shipments will reach 209.5 million units, up 25.5% over last year.

Acer(acer laptop batteries) Is the top in the ultra-thin notebook computer makers last year, shipments of 500 million units. Second, ASUS(asus laptop batteries), HP(HP laptop batteries), Dell(dell laptop batteries) and Sony(Sony laptop batteries). Apple is still not in their ultra-thin notebook computer processors used.
