Abstract
You can calibrate iBook, PowerBook, MacBook MacBook Air or MacBook Pro computer’s lithium-ion battery for optimal performance.
The battery has an internal microprocessor, can be provided when the battery charge and discharge the battery in the power of the estimated value. Battery needs to be re-calibrated from time to time in order to maintain the screen battery time and percentage of accuracy and to ensure that the battery is running the most efficient. You should first use the computer to perform this procedure, executed once every few months later. If you normally connect to the Apple laptops AC power, but rarely use battery power, then you may need to run once a month this process.
Affected products:apple A1185 battery, Apple A1189 battery, Apple MA458 battery, Apple M4685 battery
iBooks and the addition PowerBook G4 (15-inch, double-layer SD) other than the PowerBook G4 computers
Plug the power adapter and the computer battery is fully charged, until the battery indicator light off and the adapter plug into the green light from the amber, which means that the battery is fully filled.
Disconnect the power adapter, use the iBook or PowerBook. When the battery power diminishes, the screen will show the battery power shortage warning dialog box. Continue to use the computer until it goes to sleep so far. At this point, the battery completely runs out for calibration.
Connect the power adapter until the battery is fully charged again, and then the unplug.
You must be completely filled with electricity, and then came alive again finished a battery in order to calibrate them. After that, you can charge the battery at any level when you connect and disconnect the power adapter.
Tip: When the battery is “empty”, the computers will be forced into sleep mode. In fact, the battery power is not really “empty”, but will retain some in order to maintain the computer to maintain a period of time in a state of sleep. Once the battery is truly exhausted, the computer will be forced to close. At this point, all open files will be lost. Therefore, before the mandatory shutdown power outlet and connect adapter to find is very important.
PowerBook G4 (15-inch, double-layer SD), MacBook (all models), MacBook Pro (all models), MacBook Pro (17 inch) (all models), and MacBook Air
PowerBook G4 (15-inch, double-layer SD) and all models of MacBook or MacBook Pro battery calibration are due to computer using a new battery which has been updated. The use of these computers, follow these steps to calibrate your battery:
Plug the power adapter and your PowerBook battery is fully charged, plug the power adapter until the indicator light or LED to become green, and the menu bar of the screen indicator shows battery is fully charged.
Do not use batteries to keep them at full power, the state of at least two hours. In the meantime you can still use the computer, but need to plug in the power adapter.
The computer is still running, unplug the power adapter to start using battery power to run computers. During this time, you can use a computer. When the battery power diminishes, the screen will show the battery power shortage warning dialog box.
At this point save your work. Continue to use your computer; in the battery power becomes low, the computer will automatically go to sleep.
Turn off the computer, or let the computer is in sleep mode for at least five hours.
Connect the power adapter until the battery is fully charged again, and then the unplug.
Tip: When the battery is “empty”, the computers will be forced into sleep mode. In fact, the battery power is not really “empty”, but will retain some in order to maintain the computer to maintain sleep for some time. Once the battery is truly exhausted, the computer will be forced to close. At this point, PowerBook G4 (15-inch, double-layer SD) sleep, the computer starts security features, the computer memory, the contents will be saved to the hard disk drive. When the power is restored, the computer will use the hard drive in the safe sleep image automatically return to their pre-sleep state.
