I used to be have a Canon A200 (200 million pixels) which is using a 2 V battery many years ago. But the trouble of this digital camera is that the battery alarm, unable to boot-strap. 

The major reasons are:

1. Ni-MH battery self-discharge. Self-discharge is serious, the battery baven’t been used for some time, resistance is greater, a number of voltage drop, the camera will not crash on opening.
2.Battery alarm is caused by the self-reson of camera. Why is my dell studio 15 battery not working? I have this battery for nearly two year but never used it, and the battery power started dropping at an alarming rate when I used it again. This is a question asked by one client of hunt360.net. I think this is a typical question that offen asked by laptop batteries users and I believe that it is an universal accident  that offen happened, so I would like to share the answer at the blog.

Generally, laptop batteries lose their ability to hold a charge when they are not used on a regular basis. Conditioning the battery once a month will help to recharge the battery and help the cells remember how to hold a full charge. If you let a battery drain slowly due to no use, eventually you will have a dead battery.

Laptop batteries only last 18-24 months to begin with and if it is not being charged and discharged regularly, the cells have no way to learn how to hold a charge. It is very important to initially condition the batttery with 2-4 complete charge/discharge cycles and then maintian it once a month to get the best performance.

How to charge a laptop battery?
